Our scholarship program aims to develop and mentor physical therapy and chiropractic students who identify as Black or Indigenous. But the Emerging Leadership Program isn't just about working in the industry. It's about finding your voice, fostering your passion, and achieving greatness.

You'll learn frameworks around patient care and leverage informed assessments to generate favourable results for your patients.
Principles of Manual Therapy & Movement
You'll understand the principles behind manual fascial work and exercise selection and its impact on creating better outcomes for your patient.
Building Your Caseload & Community
You'll learn the importance of building your brand, how it develops trust, and how your reputation helps you connect with your community.
Financial Literacy & Career Planning
We'll be unlocking the basics of personal finances and outlining professional goals as a healthcare provider.
Defining Success
You'll be dissecting the patient journey and working towards understanding proven strategies around patient acquisition and patient retention.
Fireside Chat
You'll be part of a discussion with healthcare industry leaders from marginalized communities, sharing their insights and experiences as they continue to navigate the challenges of race in our industry.
How it Works
Virtual Program
As part of this six-month virtual program, you and fellow students will meet on a virtual call once a month with industry leaders to unpack topics within the program curriculum.
Mentorship
Students will be individually paired up with members of our Myodetox Expert Therapist team to receive one-on-one support and mentorship.
FAQ
This program is open to students who identify as Black and/or Indigenous.
Students who are currently attending or have been accepted to Physical Therapy, Chiropractic or Licensed/Registered Massage Therapy programs within the United States or Canada are eligible for this program.
The virtual classes are up to 2 hours in duration, and all sessions will be recorded and shared with students in the program.
Frequency of interactions will be up to the discretion of the student and their mentor.
