Carman Wong

Carman Wong

Carman has been practicing over 15 years, and is currently a clinical instructor at UBC in the Masters Physiotherapy Program, while actively mentoring physiotherapists. He graduated from the University of British Columbia, holds a post-graduate Advanced Diploma in Manual and Manipulative Therapy, and is a designated Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT).

Carman treats using a whole body approach of spinal and peripheral joint mobilizations, IMS needling (Chan Gunn), and specific movement and strength training. He uses an integrated approach of assessment and treatment to find the potential sources of pain and movement issues, known as the Diane Lee’s Integrated Systems Model. Outside of the studio, he loves road cycling, playing hockey and other team sports, and traveling. His inspiration comes from mentoring students, and motivating people to return to the activities they love doing.

He has a working knowledge in Cantonese and Mandarin. His most in awe travel experience was meeting a family of mountain gorillas (Titus) in their jungle in Rwanda.
